Weekly Devotions
The prayer that Jesus uttered over the deaf man in Sunday’s Gospel is His ardent desire for all of us: that by being open to His Word we might be liberated from our sins and walk in freedom as the sons and daughters of God. We echo this prayer when we make the sign of the cross over our forehead, lips, and heart as the Gospel is proclaimed, praying that God’s powerful Word might always be in our minds, on our lips, and in our hearts.
We pray together: St. Jude, be my guardian. Help me be open to God’s Word, and to reflect it in my daily life.

Please continue to pray for my Grandma who is still in hospital, give her comfort and strength and the same to my parents at this difficult time.
I pray for F and his uncle who passed away yesterday. Give their family peace in their minds and hearts that he is no longer suffering and that F’s father has now joined with him in Heaven.
I also pray that things continue to improve with F. Please, please help him release his fears and learn to just open his heart and not fear being loved. The other day I saw a glimmer of hope, but then almost the next day instead of slowly improving it went back down. I know this is a slow progress and I will continue to be patient. Please fill F with courage, strength and knowledge of just how much I care for him.
I also pray for the other intentions here. Please hear their prayers and give them strength and hope.
