Weekly Devotions

National Shrine of St. JudeBartimaeus, the blind man in Sunday’s Gospel, refused to be silent until Jesus met with him. He called to the Lord, asking to be healed and to recover his sight. This is a great example for us in our lives. We may be in need of healing, whether spiritual, emotional, or physical, and it is up to us to ask God for our needs. By presenting ourselves to the Lord in a contrite and humble manner, we open ourselves up to His healing power and come to discover the greatness of His compassion and love.

We pray together: St. Jude, give us the courage to ask for God’s healing when we are in need, and give hope to all of those suffering from illness and disease.

    Dearest St. Jude,

I thank you for all the answered prayers you have granted me in the past from keeping my children guarded and safe to finding employment. But know I ask and pray once again for Freddie Mac and PNC Bank to approve of a loan modification that we can afford and be able to keep our home. It is impossible what they are offering us for repayment. I’m so tired ofbeing bounced around between them and in the end we can’t win. Please St. Jude help us through this hardship and soon because our home will be sold on Nov. 5th and we have pleaded and begged with no avail.

Please pray that my MDS will go into remission after the first round of chemo. At least that the numbers will go down. After remission I need a bone marrow transplant. Please that God will find the perfect donor. That my body won’t reject it and I will be completely healed. Thank you

All the The Lords name, I find myself now dreaming of a happy ending to my difficult situation. I have prayed to you St. Jude and have placed my petitions in your hands. With faith and understanding that the father has the last word. Sometimes I feel fear but I’am human and perfect like my father. And again I ask like last night and the nights before. Hear my prayers and extend the lords blessing to me. I will not forget and will remember my promises. To all who read this. HIS WILL IS STRONGER THEN MY WANT….. HIS PLAN IS BIGGER THEN MY DREAMS…

    Thank you
    Richard

Father, have mercy on my family, hear my prayer – open J’s eyes to the lies she believes, restore her to yourself, resurrect our marriage and our love for each other.
Jesus, hear my prayer and heal us – for your glory, that the covenant of my marriage may be upheld and that others may see your light and love through this miracle and turn to you themselves

Please pray for F and his company. Help give him strength at this difficult time and let him find a way to keep his company alive, and to keep all of his staff who are also his friends.

As always I also implore that we can renew and restore our relationship. Please rekindle what drove us to make one another laugh and smile, feel worthwhile, special, important and thought of.

I have been struggling the last few days but I do not want to lose hope or faith. Sometimes my patience seems to falter, but I know to keep on persevering and praying ceaselessly. Please send F and I special and visible blessings St Jude to drive me to continue in my prayers for us.
