Weekly Devotion – November 28th

Weekly Devotions

National Shrine of St. JudeTo repeat the same actions or words at home, work, or in church can become a comfortable routine, which little by little can lose its meaning. On Sunday we began Advent, waiting for the arrival of Jesus in our lives. If we wait routinely, it is possible we will not recognize him. We remain vigilant by being alert to the people in our surroundings, listening to our spouses and children, putting care into our jobs, treating everyone with kindness, and working for justice for people in the community.

We pray together: Help me be alert, St. Jude, as I wait for the coming of the Christ child this Advent season.

St. Jude: Please heal all those who are indeed grief-stricken over the loss of love ones and break-ups. I need a blessing of $200.00 before Saturday. This money is for my pre-employment medical clearance and First-Aid training class that I must have in order to land this upcoming Daycare position. Help all those like myself who are in need of full-time employment with some benefits.I pray that Jesus would cause us to be more alert than in times past during this Advent Season. Lord you are our ONLY HOPE! YOU are the BLESSED HOPE HIMSELF!!!
