Our reflection from the readings this week is:
“I have much more to tell you but now it would be too much for you to bear. When, however, the Spirit comes who reveals the truth about God, he will lead you into the truth. He will not speak on his own authority but he will speak what he hears and will tell you of things to come.”
We come to know God slowly in life. We do not understand everything at once. But little by little, the Spirit leads us to the truths God wants us to know. First, of course, we have to be open to the Spirit. We must trust God at work in us–even when it seems to be outside the rules.
We pray together: St. Jude, make me a faithful follower of Jesus, an obedient child of the Church, and a help to my neighbor.

On this Memorial day I think of all those who fought in wars to give us what we have now esp our religious freedioms. Many died in doing so. I think of my dad who passed awau 3-09 who was in WWII. 18 yrs old so far from family and friends firghting for something no 18 yo could comprehend. Sad that after he passed he began getting accalades from the President, VFW, American Legion, etc. It would have been nice if these appreciative certificates could be given to those who served our country while they still were alive and not almost 70 yrs later. I am an American and am proud to be one. I have the benefits of an Americal Citizen because of all those heroic people who protected this country in the past and now. St, Jude pray for the souls who have died and pray for those abraod asking Jesus to let them return home safely. I salute all of you Veterans and thank you for protecting our country, our way of life, and the benefits given to us by the US Constitution. Thank you.
I have been thankful today for Adoration, Mass, confession in a country where we can have much freedom of speech. The sadness that engulfs me regarding those who die slain as a result of their christian-catholic faith always come to my mind during my time in Holy Church. It is a great grace to live out one’s vocation in safety. Let us remember daily our brothers and sisters who die for their faith. Thank-you for your heroic deeds. Fran
