Weekly Devotion – June 18th

Weekly Devotions

Weekly Devotion for June 18Our reflection from this week’s Gospel is:

“But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants.”

In Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the mustard seed. The Kingdom of God grows in the hearts of people amidst all opposing appearances. In spite of all hardships, the Spirit will continue to inspire us to do what is good and produce good results—however big or little they might be.

We pray together: St. Jude, intercede for me that I may be filled with the Holy Spirit. Help me to recognize that it is God who inspires my faith and resides within me.

St. Jude, first I’d like to thank you for the gifts you’ve bestowed upon me, especially the financial blessings. Today, is like to pray with you for my kids to come back to the church. For my son who needs the Holy Spirit to awaken his faith so that he can be guided spiritually. For my daughter Amanda and her husband who are grieving the loss of their sweet baby girl, Maggie Mae. Please help.them with trust, comfort and peace. And for our entire family as we walk with them as we grieve. For my daughter, Melissa who is in the process of moving back to WI. That she will find joy in being back near her family, her home state, and continue to radiate her beauty in faith, family and her work. And for a safe journey home. For my daughter Mary and husband Matt as they continue their family life without Olivia and will. For their marriages and for all marriages..for an end to abortion, for my brother Pete and Michael to come back to our family and the church..for Laurie and Gina Gina and the homeless. And.pkease pray to Jesus for me as a mother and a grandmother who has experienced losing 3 grandchildren, for my lonliness, worries and fears, for my insomnia, my physical pain, which is getting to be a daily struggle, for help with anxiety, finances and my heart. Please St. Jude pray for me to trust, comfort, understand, to pray, and to accept guidance from the Holy Spirit. In thanksgiving and hope..
    Much love to you.

    Dear St Jude,

I am here asking for your speedy intercession again in my desperate need. I have been seeking for a job for 6 months now. I have recently done two interviews and patiently waiting to hear for the results. St. Jude, please touch the hearts of the recruiter and hiring manager to pick me, to give the job to me. I need this job so much to help my family. You know how well my intentions are, St. Jude. I am desperate for your help. Please help me get this job at Mercedes-Benz Canada.

Thank you very much for all my answered prayers in the past, my Patron of Hope.

Blessed be the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Blessed be the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Blessed be St. Jude Thaddeus for all the world and for all eternity.
