Weekly Devotion – July 9th

Weekly Devotions

Weekly Devotion - July 9thIn this week’s Gospel, Jesus is astonished at the lack of faith among His own people. Despite knowing Him best, Jesus’ friends and neighbors couldn’t believe that He is the Son of God.

As devotees of St. Jude, we know what it means to seek hope through our faithful prayer. We remember that Jesus was not revered closest to home, which is where it is also easy for us to take the people we love for granted.

We pray together: St. Jude, help me to show love and honor to those closest to me. May my prayer and devotion continue to help me to grow in faith.

Father, It seems silence. Forever silence. An unfortunate truth? If you see fit, and that silence. I would prefer a huge insult instead. Please end this. Can you even grant me that? Father it’s your will be done, in the name of Christ.
