Weekly Devotion – January 2nd

Bible Diary

Weekly Devotion - January 2ndAs it was custom, Mary and Joseph named their child Jesus on the eighth day after His birth. When a name was given it represented what that person should be in the future. The literal Hebrew translation of Jesus is “the Lord saves.” In the birth and naming of this Child we see the wondrous design and plan of God in giving us a Savior who would bring us grace, mercy, and freedom from the power of sin.

We pray together: St. Jude, help me to be more like Mary and Joseph and continue to place my confidence in God.

You know how loving I can be and how joyful I can be too, please do something St Jude to show me that you are helping, maybe in a slow way? However, you are the saint of desperate cases and desperate people cry to you for your help so here we are before you and our Lord, please send help to each and every one of us. Thank you, amen

Holy Spirit, you who makes me see everything and shows me the way to reach my ideal, you who gives me the divine gift to forgive and forget all the wrong that is done to me and you who are in all instances of my life with me. I, in this short dialogue, want to thank you for everything, and affirm once more that I never want to be separated from you no matter how great the material desires may be. I want to be with you and my loved ones in your perpetual glory. To that end and submitting to God’s holy will, I ask from you..(mention your favour). Amen
    Thank You for favours granted.
