Weekly Devotion – August 23rd

Weekly Devotions

National Shrine of St. JudeOur reflection from the readings this week is:

“People will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south and sit down at the feast in the Kingdom of God.”

It is those who do the will of God whom God will save regardless of their race or religion, their gender or color, their wealth or their political philosophy. God’s house, as St. Teresa of Avila said, “has many mansions.”

We pray together: St. Jude, open us to the richness of one another’s vision and the good we can accomplish when we respect one another’s views.

I like this post especially it speaks for all the earth peoples not just some. I live in NY and we have everybody. I was just commenting to my friend that School starts on Sept 7 and the kids will be off for the jewish holiday on 9 and 10 and the person added soon we will have to celebrate the muslim holidays as well. I said oh no I am not ready for that. Praise the Lord. Amen
