Week Two Lent MeditationsLent
Thank you for joining our community of devotion during Lent. Send your special intentions to the National Shrine of St. Jude to be strengthened in devotion to St. Jude during this holy season.
We are traveling companions on this Lenten pilgrimage, encouraging and sustaining each other. During this second week of Lent, use our St. Jude Lenten Meditations as small reminders of the path we walk together toward Easter.
Below you will find the daily meditations for the second week of Lent. We look forward to praying with and for you during these holy days. May God bless you throughout these 40 days. We are praying for you.
Day 12 – March 20th
Let’s take a moment this second Sunday of Lent to reflect with contrition and resolve:
Today’s Gospel of the transfiguration of Jesus reminds us of the glory that is to come. What needs to be changed in your life so that others may see God through you?
Day 13 – March 21st
We take a moment this 13th day of Lent to reflect with contrition and resolve:
Be a sign of hope for others by offering a positive attitude in the face of challenges and difficulty. There are people who despair in difficult situations. Ask St. Jude to transform their lives, changing despair into joyful hope.
Day 14 — March 22nd
We take a moment this 14th day of Lent to reflect with contrition and resolve:
Look deeply into your heart today. Is there any darkness of sin that needs to be transformed by the light of Christ? Ask Him to help you.
Day 15 — March 23rd
We take a moment this 15th day of Lent to reflect with contrition and resolve:
The poor of this world struggle each day. Reflect on those in your community who have no place to sleep tonight. Pray for them, and think of ways in which we can help those most in need.
Day 16 — March 24th
We take a moment this 16th day of Lent to reflect with contrition and resolve:
Forgiveness is a two-way street: forgiving others and being forgiven. That also includes forgiving ourselves. We pray that we will let go of our past sins, forgiving ourselves.
Day 17 — March 25th
We take a moment this 17th day of Lent to reflect with contrition and resolve:
War and conflict abound in our world. Be a peacemaker today in one small situation to which you can bring God’s love and reconciliation.
Day 18 — March 26th
We take a moment this 18th day of Lent to reflect with contrition and resolve:
Many people are sick, including those afflicted with grave illness like cancer. Pray to St. Jude, that all who are ill may be touched by God’s healing mercy and love.
