The St. Jude Journal – Spring 2018

eJournal

We are delighted to share with you letters of thanksgiving for St. Jude’s intercession, especially during the upcoming Solemn Novena to St. Jude, April 28th—May 6th. Please join us by sending your petition or letter of gratitude to the National Shrine of St. Jude.

Our faith gives direction to our lives as we continue to grow in our relationship with God. Many aspects of our faith work together to bring His loving presence into clearer focus, giving guidance as we navigate life.

Prayer is at the heart of our faith lives; it opens us to receiving God’s mercy and grace while sharing with Him our hopes and needs. This communication gives us the profound certainty we are never alone. Our devotion to St. Jude takes our prayer to yet another level of connection with God, encouraging us to hope always and to continually place our trust in Him.

The upcoming Solemn Novena to St. Jude is a unique opportunity for prayer. Novena prayer gives us another way to turn to God for guidance and to receive the tremendous gift of the hope St. Jude offers.

Send your special intentions and we will place them at the altar of St. Jude at the National Shrine, where they will be remembered in our Masses and prayers throughout the Novena.

Any gifts you can share with us—whether in prayers for our work or financial support—make a significant difference in the lives of the people we serve in communities with great need.

Thank you for sharing in Novena prayer with us, and for reaching to God in this special way. May the hope of St. Jude be with you always.

Dear St. Jude, First please accept my loving thank you so much for all of the help you have prayed to our Lord on my behalf. Would you please continue to pray to our Lord on my behalf for an end to this terrible sadness and anxiety I am feeling and have been feeling going on three years now. I have my good days and bad days, but boy the bad days are terrible. I love you St. Jude so much. You know my heart and I will continue to honor you everyday. I’m missing my family so much. Since my last child left for college, my life seemed to take a sad turn. Then my grandson, had been pretty much living with us since he was born, has now moved in with his mom and her new married family. While they are not far from us, I’m hurting over the emptyness of not seeing him everyday. Helping him with his homework, and just his care in general. I am on the other hand so grateful for the time I still do get to spend with him. I just miss him so much. He gave me and my husband so much joy just being around. Thank you St. Jude for your intercession. Also, I would like to pray for my oldest child who married but we don’t think he is a good person and is using her. Please St. Jude, I pray you can open her eyes that she is worth so much more than what he has to offer her. Give her the strength to overcome his hold on her. I love you St. Jude. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help and love.
