The St. Jude Journal – October 2018

eJournal

Welcome to the St. Jude Journal. We are delighted to share with you a prayer and reflection for St. Jude’s intercession, especially during the upcoming Solemn Novena to St. Jude for All Souls, October 20th—28th. Please join with me and thousands of other devotees by sending your petition or letter of gratitude to the National Shrine of St. Jude.

We are blessed as people of faith and devotion to know the comfort those bring when someone we love dies. Prayer helps ease the pain of loss as we work to move forward. Gratitude to God gives us a positive way to celebrate the blessings of life after a loss, even as we mourn.

Our prayer is also a very personal way to stay connected with those who have died. We pray to St. Jude to intercede on their behalf and ours, so their eternal life and our earthly lives will continue to be blessed by the loving presence of God.

This Novena is an opportunity for focused prayer for all of our family and friends who have died, and for our intentions and petitions of gratitude to St. Jude.

Remember your loved ones in this Solemn Novena by sending your petitions to the National Shrine. We will place them at the altar of St. Jude where they will be remembered in our Masses and prayers throughout the Novena.

Any support you can share with us—whether in prayers for our work or financial support—make a difference in the lives of the people we serve in communities with great need.

Thank you for sharing in Novena prayer for all who have died. May God bless you with comfort and peace.

    Dear GOD, Jesus, Holy Spirit,
    Mary, Joseph, and Saint Jude:

Please accept my most sincere thanks, and eternal gratitude for all you have done for me and my family.
Please pray for those I know, and for all who I do not know.
Please hear and answer all my daily prayers, and petitions for All, and for Myself.
With the state of the world we live in today, I know you are so busy.
    Please continue to help me!
Especially now for I have been asking for special graces!
Please continue to answer all my prayers, petitions, favors, graces, requests, novenas, intentions, intersessions, invocations, and interventions.
Please do so in conjunction with all the Apostles, Martyrs, Angels and Saints.
I am in dire need of help more so now than ever before!

With Devotion to you, and with Love of GOD, JESUS, HOLY SPIRIT, MARY and JOSEPH,
