The St. Jude Journal – October 2017eJournal
We are delighted to share with you letters of thanksgiving for St. Jude’s intercession, especially during the upcoming Solemn Novena to St. Jude, October 21st—29th. Please us by sending your petition or letter of gratitude to the National Shrine of St. Jude.
The loss of someone we love often leaves us with a complex range of emotions and thoughts. Along with our loss, we are grateful for the unique gift the person was in our life. We celebrate the rich memories; recalling these with others is often an important part of our healing and acceptance. The death of someone close leaves us in need of renewed hope and additional strength from God.
In memory of all the departed faithful, we will be celebrating a Solemn Novena to St. Jude for All Souls, October 21st—29th, at the National Shrine of St. Jude. October 28th is the Feast of St. Jude, when we offer our gratitude for all the blessings and strength we have received through St. Jude’s intercession.
To include your departed loved ones in our Novena prayer, send your special intentions and we will deliver them to the altar of St. Jude at the National Shrine to be remembered in our Masses and prayers during the Novena.
Any support you can share with us—whether in prayers for our work or financial support—makes an important difference in the lives of those we serve in communities with serious need.
We look forward to praying for you during the Solemn Novena to St. Jude. May God grant peace to those who are mourning, and may St. Jude’s intercession bring you comfort and peace.
