Prayer to St. Jude for Students

Back to School

National Shrine of St. JudeSt. Jude, stay with me. Though the journey of learning is long and often difficult, your quiet presence gives me courage. Sustain my trust in myself, my teachers, and fellow students. Help me to let go of my fears and believe in the growth that is happening, even though I may not see it right away. As I embark again on this mission of study, I ask for the grace to be wise in mind and word, compassionate at heart, and full of energy and zeal as I seek to learn the ways of God’s world and come to understand how my gifts may serve their best purpose. Amen.

Post your prayer or petition below for those heading back to school. Or if you would like, send your special intentions to the altar of St. Jude at the National Shrine of St. Jude where they will be prayed for by the Claretians.

God the Father, give me hope. Help me to know that your hope is alive in me as I offer kindness, forgiveness, and tenderness to others.

I seek the calm that comes from trusting in your hope and your healing presence.

I trust that your servant St. Jude walks with me in all the blessings and challenges of my life, and intercedes on behalf of my petitions.

St. Jude, fill my heart with hope.

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hope.

Please intercede on my behalf. Make use of that particular privilege given to you to bring hope, comfort, and help where they are needed most.

Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven as I work with my challenges, particularly With Brent while we spend time together this weekend, please help him release the disappointment and doubt of the past and remember, see and feel for me as he once did. He is a good man and has been so good to and for me, It was my mistake and fear of my own past that has caused him to doubt. Please pray that he finds me in his heart again.

I praise God with you and all the saints forever.

I promise, blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.

I have some challenging students this year like always but overall the class is doing alright. It’s the parent of one the students that is very difficult. He is speaking to me in a very condisending and menacing manner when no one is around. I don’t feel safe with this parent. Please pray that he leaves my school and that my administration sees what he is really like.
