Pray the Novena, August 18th – 26th.

Solemn Novena to St. Jude

August Novena 2012Healing is one of the most prominent events in Jesus’ public ministry. With the other Apostles, St. Jude accompanied Jesus in His travels. He saw the challenges of people afflicted physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—and witnessed Jesus perform His miracles through faith. Some of the people had great needs for healing; others came in support of friends and loved ones.

St. Jude saw Jesus heal many people with His sacred hands. And all those He touched experienced healing. For those who suffered, the healing presence of Christ was a promise of hope—a promise that St. Jude holds through prayer to all in need even today.

On August 18th we will begin the Solemn Novena to St. Jude with a special emphasis on healing. We invite you to sign-up to receive free Novena email devotions, with prayers & reflections for each day, sent one day prior to the start of the Novena.

Jesus commissioned the Apostles, including our patron, St. Jude, to bring the hope of healing to the world. This Novena is a special time for us to ask St. Jude to intercede for us and carry our prayers to God for those we know are in need of healing of any kind.

During these nine days of powerful prayer, we encourage you to join with other members of the St. Jude League and pray for those in need of healing.

We also invite you to experience the simple beauty of this sacred service by viewing the St. Jude Solemn Novena slide show and sharing it with your family and friends on your website, blog, or on Facebook or Twitter.

As we join together in prayer during the Solemn Novena, may you and your loved ones know Christ’s healing love through the intercession of St. Jude, and may God bless you.

A prayer of thanks giving to St Jude. In Sep/2016, I lost my job. Hoping to start my own Portrait painting/Statue restoration business, I prayed to St. Jude for clients and guidance. I received a few clients but then there was a stand still. I prayed a novena to St. Jude once again and slowly clients called me. In disbelief I said “Is is really you St. Jude that’s helping me? How will I know it’s you? If it’s you, send me another client, I said.” A day or two later after I asked St. Jude, a call came through with 2 clients. I feel so small and ignorant as I’m being humbled even as I write this, I bow my head in shame. Another miracle of St. Jude in Helping me with my little restoration shop. St. Jude, Thank you!
