It’s not too late to light a St. Jude Vigil Light for your special intentions during this Advent season. We will remember your petitions at the National Shrine of St. Jude.
God’s love for us is strong. He seeks us out, always drawing us closer to Him in faith. St. Jude accompanies us in our Advent preparation for the birth of Christ. He offers the light of hope in the darkness of winter.
We will be praying for you this Advent, as always. See below our daily Advent Meditations for this first week of Advent.

To repeat the same actions or words at home, work, or in church can become a comfortable routine, which little by little can lose its meaning. On Sunday we began Advent, waiting for the arrival of Jesus in our lives. If we wait routinely, it is possible we will not recognize him. We remain vigilant by being alert to the people in our surroundings, listening to our spouses and children, putting care into our jobs, treating everyone with kindness, and working for justice for people in the community.
